Now what the enquiry commissions would do ?

Police says she is a LeT operative recruited to commit terror acts and enquiry commission says she is not a terrorist.

But the persons with whom she was associated and travelling were indeed LeT operatives.

The question should be what the police would do?

Police will not do anything immediately. They are probably awaiting orders from the think tank on how to confuse the story further, by putting one more statement..

"Think TanK" a k a politicians.

Dear SF,
Probably that's the way the post wants us to think and conclude throwing the investigation, the courts, etc to the winds.

Warren Anderson was let off by the them CM and now they say he needs to stand trial as he is guilty.

by prevailing internet discussion forum standards he should have been lynched by a mob and the pieces scattered for scavenging birds and scorpions . . . . it is sadly customary for people to conduct inquisitions by mobs and trials by media . . . . more sadly it is the same people who also disrespect the law enforcement and judicial systems mandated to serve them . . . much more sadly it is the same persons who complain of the breaches of democratic processes and human rights . . . .

fortunately we have very sound democratic traditions and such people though very loud are in an insignificant minority so they are unable to really disrupt the nation . . .

By democractic tradition we have spent Rs 35 crs to conduct trial for Ajmal Kasab who has been caught on tape shooting innocent people.

Many times the verdict of one court has been overturned by higher court by retrial and/or fresh evidence.

Similarly if new evidence emerges we need to reconduct the enquiry itself.

Another democratic tradition in India is

Mercy petition - pending for sometime

Eventually the culprit prolongs his death sentence

My point is irrespective of religion, caste, language the killer should be punished as per the judgement. No influence should be used by the politicians and other organisation to stop sentencing the killer.

MB - would you object if the "influence" is used in a legally admissible manner? would that not demonstrate contempt for our strong judicial processes?

SF,

You mean to say any culprit has the right to escape from the law or judiciary by your legally admissable manner?

My point is if he/she deserves the capital punishment genuinely why it is still kept pending?

He/She/they here refers to anybody find guilty not the one accused.

Honestly a criminal should be punished. But not the innocents.

//would you object if the "influence" is used in a legally admissible manner? would that not demonstrate contempt for our strong judicial processes? //

So long you do not get caught all influence can be used including accidentally killing the witness/destroying evidence/bumping of legal counsels.( a lawyer cum goonda was bumped of recently while taking food near a court by his rival as reported in Hindu)

The aggrieved party to cry hoarse for justice and be left out on a limb all because of influence used in a legally admissible manner.

No innocent should be punished by law but if they are aggrieved they can wait for kingdoms to come for justice .

Can a innocent aggrieved be punished by delaying justice while it is well within the legal frame work?
